Xythos Web File Service

Lots of storage space available anywhere with an internet connection.

In addition to your userspace on the our servers, Pomona also provides you with a directory on Xythos, which is an online file system. It is very similar to your userspace, but is special in that:

  • You can allow other people to access some or all of your files
  • It's accessible from anywhere with an internet connection
  • It can store up to 1 GB of data (in addition to your userspace)

tip Xythos is a convenient place to create a shared space for group projects since it allows you to handle your own file permissions (i.e. who can access what).

Introduction

This is a fairly new service that is just beginning to be implemented. Also, the interface isn't terribly intuitive, so don't feel bad if you don't immediately get how to use it. That's why we have these handy guides to help you use this nifty little tool.
