ITS students provide technical support by phone and email, as well as in person at the help desk. Students work one to three hour shifts at the desk, and are required to take at least one 2.5-3 hour evening shift and one daytime shift (1-2 hours).
We support Pomona computer services such as the computers and software in the labs and services such as e-mail, the printers, and server resources. We also provide support for student machines (fixing software problems or helping to diagnose hardware problems), network problems (help with registration, etc), or pretty much whatever comes up. A few students also assist in lab management and server administration.
The job is focused around customer service. We offer on-the-job training, although previous experience is a bonus. A copy of our application is attached to this page - if you'd like to apply, please fill it out and drop it off at the help desk (in the ITS building at 156 E 7th St).
