Virtual Private Network

Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are used to connect to a network remotely - that is, using a VPN connects you to a network when you can't make a physical connection by plugging your network cable in, by dialing in on a modem, etc.

In the case of the Pomona College VPN, it is a good way to access network resources when you are on the 5-College wireless network (CINE) or off campus. You can access your userspace, classes folders, the software repository, tempdisk, or anything else you would connect to on campus. It is available to anyone with a Pomona username.

If you need help setting up VPN or troubleshooting a VPN problem, please visit our VPN setup guide.
