Tabbed Browsing

More modern browsers such as Firefox and Opera allow you to group multiple web pages in one screen. It's kind of like creating a mini-Start taskbar just for your web browser windows. This picture explains it a whole lot better than I can.

It sounds simple, but once you get used to it it's really hard to go back to old-style browsing. For example, a lot of web pages have interesting links in them, but to go there you have to stop reading the page you're currently at, which is a pain. Tabbed browsing allows you to simply middle-click or Ctrl+Click the interesting link--your web browser? will open the new page in a new tab, allowing you to easily switch between the old page and the new one.

Firefox has a good guide to tabbed browsing browsing.

HINT: If you're using Firefox and really like tabbed browsing, try installing this extension, which makes TB even better!
