Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)

A PDA is a handheld mini-computer. It has a much smaller storage capacity and a much more limited array of programs than full computers. It's extremely handy for keeping your to-do list, address book, and schedule. Newer PDAs can let you watch video, listen to music, check your e-mail, and surf the Internet as well. Rather than a bulky keyboard, PDAs use a pen stylus for input. They may look something like this:

They range in price from $100 to $500 (or more).
