I forgot the password to my Pomona account. What do I do?!
First, visit
https://mypassword.pomona.edu. Once there, log in with your username, and select the "answer questions" button. You will be prompted with a few personal questions that you set up earlier on this year. Answer them correctly, and the system will give you your password.
If this doesn't work or you've forgotten the answers, ITS can reset your password for you. Come to the
Helpdesk with your student ID and we will reset it to something generic and tell you what it is. Then, you should visit
https://mypassword.pomona.edu to change it from that to something that only you know.
If you're an alumnus and mypassword no longer works for you, try
logging in remotely or just
contact us for help.
I forgot the password to my computer.
PC
ITS has boot disks that can be used to reset computer passwords, too. We can reset passwords on Windows 2000 and Windows XP computers. After we reset the password, please use the control panel to change your password to something private.
Mac
If you are using OS X you can boot off of the install CDs. Once you have done that you should be able to reset the password by selecting the option on the Apple menu. If you do not have your install CDs or you have any other questions, please call the helpdesk at x18062 or
view our contact information.
