Activating MyMail

1). Make it so, Numbah One

1. Head over to the portal: http://my.pomona.edu
   
   
2. Once logged in, click on the Student tab.
   
   
3. On the left sidebar, click on the MyMail setup link.
   
   
4. Click the nice friendly button.
   
   

2). You shall not PASS...word

Go to http://mypassword.pomona.edu and "change your password." By this we mean change it to what it already is. This will (hopefully) make your MyMail password the same as your Pomona password.

Note: MyMail doesn't seem to like passwords with the & symbol. If you've got one in your password, you'll need change it to something else or the MyMail gremlins will eat you (large...pointy...teeth).

3). Are we there yet?

Your MyMail account should be set up to use your current Pomona password. Let's see if it worked:

http://mymail.pomona.edu

Your Windows Live ID is username@mymail.pomona.edu. For example, Cecil Sagehen's ID is ces02006@mymail.pomona.edu. Again, your MyMail password should be the same as your normal Pomona one.

• Don't forget the mymail part of the address It's hard to break old habits...

• If it's not letting you log in and you have any funky symbols in your password, go back to http://mypassword.pomona.edu and remove them.
• If it's still not working after 15 minutes, give us a call (909.621.8062).

4). Why are there 6 pedals if there are only 4 directions...

Your old account (along with all your old e-mails) will be deleted on March 31 2008, so you probably want to transfer all of your old e-mails to your new MyMail inbox.
