This example also serves as a instructions on how to map your userspace as a drive letter on your personal computer.
Go to Start, right-click on the My Computer, and select Map Network Drive....
You should see the following window. First select the drive letter you want to assign the new drive (Z: is traditional, but anything works.).
Now under Folder: type the filepath to which you want to map the drive letter. In this example, you're mounting your userspace, so the path should be: \\campus.pomona.edu\pomona\userspace\student-<year>\<username> Where <year> is your first year of attendance at Pomona (e.g. 2006), and <username> is your Pomona username (e.g. ces02006).
Make sure the Reconnect at Logon box is checked.
Click on the link Connect using a different user name. You should see the following window:
Put in your Pomona login information (including the CAMPUS\)
You're done! Open My Computer--your new hard drive should be listed under Network Drives.
Unfortunately, OS X will automatically unmount any network shares when you restart your computer.
The only option for Mac users is connect normally but add the network address to your favorites so that you can access it easier next time:
