Microsoft Office is is one of the most popular suites of applications. Microsoft Office can be obtained through Pomona College's site license. Office is available for both PC (currently Office 2003) and Mac (currently Office 2004), but the composite programs vary between the two.

How do I install Office?

First, you will need to make sure you have a connection to the Pomona network. If you are off campus, you will need to set up a VPN connection first. Once you're connected, please pick one of the following options:

  • Microsoft Word - A word processing program with more features than you could ever possibly use

How much support for Office does Pomona ITS provide?

It really depends on the component of Office. For programs like Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, all but the most advanced features will be supported in-house. The other Office programs are also supported, but not as extensively. If we are unable to provide the assistance you need, we can point you to the appropriate section of the Microsoft website for more information.
