PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) Cards are expansion cards primarily used in laptop computers. These cards can add a wide range of additional capabilities to a laptop. Initially these cards were used to add more storage capability to computers, but nowdays are more comonly used for things like modems, network cards, wireless cards, etc.
