HTML

HTML stands for "HyperText Markup Language" and is the language used to mark-up web pages for display, printing, etc.

HTML is currently at version 4.1, where it will remain, as it is now deprecated.

XHTML is the successor to HTML and builds on HTML by integrating features from XML into the language.
