First of all, welcome to Pomona! We know you're chomping at the bit to get all this tech stuff out of the way, so without further ado...

Changing your password

As a student, you have a Pomona username that you will need in order to access just about every tech resource here (e-mail, course schedule, computer labs, printing, etc.).

You should have received your username and a temporary password in an information packet at some point over the summer. If it isn't there yet, we're sorry, but you're going to have to wait for it to arrive (why?).

Once it does arrive, head over to http://mypassword.pomona.edu and change your temporary password to something that meets our draconian password complexity requirements.

Yes, they're a pain in the butt. Yes, it's important for security's sake. If you're having trouble coming up with something, check out our password creation tips.

Do cool stuff!

You're probably most interested in getting your e-mail account up and running. Hop over to webmail (https://mail.pomona.edu) and give it a test drive, then check out the basics for more information.
