How do I set up Microsoft Entourage to use Exchange?

If you want to configure Entourage to use Exchange mode, just follow this step-by-step guide.

  1. Select the Tools tab from the Entourage toolbar. Select Accounts.

  2. Click on the New button in the upper left corner of the Accounts window.

  3. If a small window with "New Account" as the heading appears, click the Assist Me button.
  4. In the Account Setup Assistant window, type in your email address. Check the box that says My account is on an Exchange server. Fill in your Pomona username, CAMPUS as the domain, and your password. Click the right arrow to proceed.

  5. The following window may appear. This is OK. Click the right arrow to continue.

  6. Fill in the following sections as instructed below. Be sure to check the box that says Use SSL for these servers. Click the right arrow to continue.

  7. On the next window, click the Verify My Settings button. It should result in a successful check of your settings. If there is an error, please check the previous page to ensure that the information was entered correctly. Click the right arrow to continue.
  8. Type a name for your Pomona e-mail account and click Finish.

Entourage will then proceed to synchronize your newly created account with Webmail. It will load your messages onto your computer. Remember, you will still have access to your e-mails if you login to webmail.
