Does anyone read my e-mail?

No, your e-mail is completely confidential and will never be accessed by another person except during certain extreme circumstances such as court subpoena or critical hardware breakdown. ITS student employees are never given access to the mail servers or other students' accounts and/or passwords (which is one of the main reasons that we cannot give first-year students their login information early).

If you wish, you can read the full legal mish-mash disclaimer. (See the section entitled "Security And Confidentiality Standards")

Pomona does use an automatic spam-filtering service that scans all incoming e-mail and quarantines those that are suspected to be unsolicited kruft. This is a completely automated process; at no time does a person view the contents of your mail. For more information, please see our Postini information page.

If you have any further questions please e-mail us at supers@pomona.edu.
