CPU

CPU stands for "central processing unit." Generally, the CPU itself is a small chip inside your computer's case. It's the thing that processes information from other sources (mouse, keyboard, network card, etc) and runs programs. The CPU serves as a command center, organizing the information from all the processors and translating it into what you see on your screen.
