What is it?

iMovie is a video-editing program for Macintosh that comes as a part of the iLife suite. It has a simple interface that allows for basic movie editing.

How do I get it?

If you own a Mac, then iMovie comes pre-installed as part of the iLife suite. If you uninstalled the program or performed a fresh install of OS X, then you can use the software restore cds that came with your computer to reinstall iLife. Otherwise, iMovie HD 6.0.3 is available on the PowerMacs in the Multimedia Lab at ITB

How do I use it?

Apple has a tutorial on their website which has movies that take you step-by-step through the iMovie video editing process. You can find this tutorial at http://www.apple.com/support/imovie/tutorial/ and a tutorial for the HD version at http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/imovie/index.html.
